Legendary Brooklyn Banks Closing

Brooklyn Banks, a popular skate park situated under the Manhattan side of the Brooklyn bridge is a world renown legend in the extreme sports scene. It is also a legend that's in danger of being partially if not totally closed due to a Brooklyn Bridge construction project that will begin this winter with a predicted completion date in 2014.

Not only has the banks been the locale and/or source of several of my stories covering the inline skating scene in NYC, but also the source of fond memories of my rough start in the big city even with the blotches of pigeon poop and broken beer bottles jutting out of its cracks.
