conference

Phillip Kitcher, a professor at Columbia University, and extremely successful and well-respected author, just spoke at a conference held at The New School University. The topic was one he knew well, after writing the article “ An Argument about Free Inquiry”, in 1997, He was asked once more to speak about this topic.

Here is a sample of what he had to say on this topic:
“ To undermine something I think is taken for granted in our present, political and social redirect, about the value of freedom of inquiry and im going to talk about varieties of freedom and the ways in which they get distributed across various societies and in particular, our own contemporary American democratic society.”
